The Humble Beginnings of Our Historic School
Rocky Mountain Middle School began its life as Bonneville High School and opened its doors to the public in 1957. After a new building was constructed for the high school in 1977 not far from it, the building became Bonneville North Junior High School. As the district and community continued to bud into a flourishing area of the state, an additional high school, junior high school, and elementary schools were built throughout the area. Eventually, Bonneville North Junior High was consolidated and transformed into a middle school becoming the Rocky Mountain we know it as today. We currently serve over 1,100 students across three buildings on our campus.
Throughout the district and at Rocky Mountain Middle School, student success by design plays an important role in everything we do here at school. As far as the history of Bonneville Joint School District 93, it was formed through the consolidation of ten smaller districts in 1950. Today Bonneville Joint School District 93 is one of the largest school districts in the state and is ever growing to meet the needs of our wonderful community.
